nce upon a time, Aliens from the Planet of Tea came to the earth and became friends with the Chinese.
They liked playing with each other. They always helped each other and they both kept their promise.
The king of the Chinese, Tai Tan and the King of the Aliens, Poco, made a 'promise ribbon' and
promised to be friends forever. Aliens liked orange juice from the Chinese very much because they
loved the taste of orange juice and it was good for their health. Aliens usually bought orange juice
from the Chinese. On the other hand, the Chinese loved tea from Aliens and they bought tea from
Aliens in return. Aliens had a lot of tea and their tea tasted very well. They promised to sell these things to each
other every month.

In one particularly wet summer, after a heavy rain flooded the country, the Chinese found that most of the
oranges have been rotten. They could not sell orange juice to Aliens but Aliens didn't know the truth. Poco was
very angry because he thought Tai Tan didn't sell orange juice to them because he was greedy. He thought that
Tai Tan had not kept his promise. He therefore decided to take revenge on the Chinese. "What can I do to
revenge them?" said Poco angrily. "Oh! I have an idea! They do not sell orange juice to us, we will not sell tea
to them as well!" yelled Poco. He then told every Alien to stop selling tea to the Chinese. After Tai Tan knew
that, he felt sorry for Poco but he really had no oranges and he was busy dealing with the problems caused by
the rain. He had no time to tell Poco the reason. Poco became angrier and angrier. First he went to cut the
'
promise ribbon', then he declared war against Chinese. At this moment, Tai Tan was a bit angry of Poco as well.
Right before the war started, a scary dragon came to the Planet of Tea and wanted to eat the Aliens. The
dragon was so strong that the Aliens could not defeat it. Aliens didn't know where to go so they went to China.
All the Aliens fled to China. But Poco was too slow, the dragon nearly ate him! Tai Tan knew that the
dragon was scared of long ribbon. Although Tai Tan was angry of Poco, he still wanted to save him. Tai Tan got
a ribbon quickly and went to save Poco. But the ribbon is not long enough to scare the dragon away. After they
fought for a while, they still could not overcome the dragon. Tai Tan then pushed Poco away and let the dragon
eat himself. Poco asked unbelievably, "Why did you do that? This is so weird! Why did you save me and give
up your life for me but you didn't sell orange juice to us?" Tai Tan answered sadly, "Because most of the oranges
were destroyed by the rain. We didn't have enough oranges for you!" "Really? I thought you were greedy and
did not keep your promise……I am very wrong. I am so sorry," Poco said tearfully. "Me too! I should tell you
the truth. I am sorry for you," said Tai Tan regrettably.
Then, Tai Tan and Poco heard the sound of crying from someone else. They turned to the dragon. Oh!
They could not believe what they saw. The dragon was crying! "What a touching scene! I love it! My name is
Kingki. I am the king of the Planet of the dragons. Can we be friends? I will not eat both of you now," the
dragon said. Poco said happily, "Of course we can, can't we, Tai Tan?" "Yes, of course!"said Tai Tan. "Let's
make a 'promise ribbon'!" Poco said loudly. "No, we shouldn't. Kingki is scared of long ribbon." Tai Tan said.
"
But we can make a fake one. I am only afraid of real ribbon. I am not afraid of fake ones," Kingki said happily.
They all agreed.
They decided to make a big ribbon, a really big one that people can see it from a long distance. All the
Chinese, Aliens and dragons helped. They finished it within one day only! The ribbon was very long and was
made by bricks. They gave the big ribbon a name called the 'Great wall'. They built it in China to remember the
brave and friendly actions of Tai Tan. He was willing to give up his life for his friends! The Great Wall could
also protect China from bad people. Although now the Chinese, Aliens and dragons are too busy so they cannot
meet each other often, they always think of each other and they know that friendship is important. The Great
wall can be seen clearly from the space so every time they travelled around the earth they could see their
promise.
