‘
Sister.’
‘
Brother… you came,’ she said with a wry smile which faded almost immediately. Tears on her face
reflected the sunshine like sparkling dewdrops.
He held her tightly with his arms. Nothing was better than a genuine, consoling embrace from someone in
propinquity with you. The warmth lightened her heart a bit, stopped her tears for a while, soothed her bleeding
heart.
‘
Do not worry, sister. I promise you, you will never have to go there again. Never,’ he said with a resolute
tone.
‘
Next time when you are on the other side of the Great Wall, it will be because you can lead a decent and
dignified life in the town.’
She grabbed his hands firmly. Their fingers were intertwined. So did their fates.
‘

hills.
