So what are you doing here on Earth?” asked Gregory.
Eddie and Ruchelle were starting their summer holidays, just like Gregory and I, and they have decided to
tour Asia on their own. Before that, they had been to the US, Europe and the North Pole. As a matter of fact, a
lot of aliens from Siu travel to Earth for leisure.
What is the climate like in Siu?” I asked. I longed to know everything about this mysterious planet.
It’s really warm. It’s got a sub-tropical climate all year long, so when my parents decided to take us to
visit the Earth, they chose the North Pole since they wanted to feel the chills.”
How did you learn to speak English then?” I asked again.
Our ancestors learnt and spoke Latin for around a thousand years. When computers were invented
however, we learnt modern languages from the Earth and since English was a universal language on Earth, our
ancestors chose it to be our mother tongue. We learn English so that we can communicate with people here on
Earth”
But when you travel, wouldn’t you need money and identifications for staying at hotels and stuff?”
Gregory asked.
We don’t stay in hotels. We sleep in our helicopters. We park it somewhere remote and keep it invisible.
As for money, there are banks in Siu where we could exchange our money with any currency in the countries
here on Earth.”
Just then, we heard a huge rumbling sound. Immediately, I realized it must be their mother coming to their
rescue.
As their mother stepped out of the helicopter, I was taken aback. A woman of around 40, their mother was
drop-dead gorgeous.
Mom, this is Michelle and this is Gregory. Guys, this is my mom.” Ruchelle introduced us.
We shook hands and said“Nice to meet you Mrs.. uh..”
Mrs Aspinall,” she smiled kindly.
It’s very nice to meet you Mrs Aspinall,” I said politely.
You too, Michelle. Right! Kids, we have to get going,”
Leaving so soon? You’ve just arrived!” I said.
We’ll just need to take this wretched helicopter back to Siu and we might come later,” explained Eddie.
Cool! Greg and I will be leaving Beijing in two days, why don’t you guys come and visit us in Hong
Kong? You can park on our roof, nobody would suspect a thing!” I suggested.
That sounds fantastic! Here, type in your address. I’ll see you in maybe three days then!” Ruchelle
handed me her mobile phone and said.
See you!” Gregory and I both bade them goodbye.
Then we saw them tying the crashed helicopter to the one Mrs Aspinall drove in, and suddenly, the two
helicopters were nowhere to be seen. It was just like a dream.
Come on, let’s go.” Gregory said. It was nearly 9 o’clock. “I’m starving.”
