A Day in the school

nce upon a time, there was a fifteen-year-old boy named Howard who liked grasshoppers and had a
pet one, named Jacky. Howard always took Jacky to school. Everyone in the class thought that
Howard was a freak. No one in the class ever liked him.
“
Hey! Hey! Howard, guess what? You’re a Cow-ward!”
“
Stop laughing at me!”
“
Ohhhh, who’s talking right now? Hahaha, you gonna beat me now?” “I guess your little precious grass
hopper doesn’t like you either, let me get rid of it!”. His classmates caught Howard’s grasshopper and threw it
hard on the floor. “Nooooo!”Howard shouted. “Ha ha ha ha have fun with your ugly pet” Howard’s classmates
chanted as they walked passed him one by one. He cried slowly and silently. He picked up Jacky and walked to
the school garden.
“
There you go Jacky, you’ll be safe here,” said Howard as he placed Jacky under a flowering plant. At the
moment he decided to go back to class, he heard a strange soft voice, ”pssst pssst, Howard, don’t leave me.”
Howard ignored the voice, he thought it was an hallucination. He went straight back to the classroom.
Secret behind the Blossom
“*
rinnnnnng* school’s out!” Everyone rushed out of the classroom except Howard. He went to the
school garden to check on Jacky. He ducked nearby the flowering plant where he placed Jacky and spoke softly:”
Hello little Jacky, Hello. Are you there? Come out, I am going to take you back home. Just come out”. Then he
heard that soft voice again “Hey! Howard you are back! Come! Look what I found here” Jacky hopped out from
the blossoming plant and stood on a leaf in front of Howard. “Howard, come! Follow me! ”Howard was stunned
when he realized that Jacky was talking to him. “Hey! What are waiting for? Come here”
“
Is that really you? Jacky? oh my!”
“
Of course it is! Buddy, only you can hear my voice!”.
“
Wow, really?”
“
Look…, just follow me”
The Great Wall
Howard followed Jacky in a sneaky and slow fashion, as they weaved their way through wonderful thorns
and flowers. A mist appeared so Howard didn’t recognize the way back so he followed Jacky closely. They
soon arrived at a large plain land with an epic, humungous Wall. “WOW! I didn’t even know they could build
this HUGE thing in the school!” exclaimed Howard.
“
It’s not the school anymore. “Welcome to The World Of Hoppers,” answered Jacky. Howard looked
back towards Jacky and a huge tall giant grass hopper somewhat miracuolously stood in front of him. “Oh my
Goodness! How did you become that tall? Am I dreaming?” asked a shocked Howard. “Of course not, “Jacky
answered as he reached out his enormous arm to Howard. “Hop on! We’ve got lots to discover!”
Howard sat on Jacky’s shoulders carefully and Jacky started to hop beside The Wall. “Woo! It’s like
riding on a roller Coaster!” “What is this wall built for?” asked Howard. “It’s for blocking other insects from
coming in, only grasshoppers are able to get through the wall” “Hmm, the wall seems pretty ancient and this
wall must have a long history I guess,” mused Howard.
“
Indeed. This wall is very important for the survival of the grasshoppers; without it, the kingdom of the
grasshoppers will disappear. Let me get you to the capital of the grasshopper kingdom,”
“
Sure! ----- Man! I will really enjoy this, I know!” replied Howard excitedly.
The Ramainia
“
Is that tall tree up ahead in the capital?” asked Howard. “Yes” replied Jacky as he landed on
Howard in a BIG hop. “Ahhhh,” Howard shouted with excitement.
“
Here we are among trees and flowers, waterfalls and ponds, and a gigantic tree, the Ramainia!” Jacky
spoke proudly.
“
WOW! It’s wonderful! Everything is beautiful! ”enthused Howard.
“
Yep! That’s Ramainia,” agreed Jacky.
Do we have a place that we can stay in? ”asked Howard.
“
Yeah, just right over there,” Jacky answered and pointed to the waterfall
“
Really? Is that really your house!” asked Howard.
“
Yes, replied Jacky. So what are you waiting for? Let’s go!”
