“
We’ll need volunteers, to hold them off while we do the basic construction of the base and set up
some simple defenses.” suggested the emperor gloomily, “But who will go and stall them?”
Somehow, without any reluctance, Mike volunteered. And now here they were, running from the
Mongolians, panicking, about to get cornered, having been surrounded by a huge wave of enemy warriors.
“
Uh oh,” Mike thought, “this is getting bad.”
They had no weapons, no assistance, no backup and no plans at all. They were hopeless, and they were going to
die in a time period they didn’t even exist in. At the same time, instead of panicking, Samuel was running his
gears, thinking plans.
“
Let’s see, we can’t go through them, that’s basically suicide,” he thought, “and neither can we jump
over them… Then, how about under?”
Samuel told Mike of his so-called plan. Together, on the count of three, they ducked under their armor
and escaped with no problem. They successfully managed to return to their own territory safely.
Immediately, after the two had entered the gates, they somehow felt drowsy. They fell asleep right on
the spot. When they woke up, they found themselves slumbering on the floor of the first checkpoint of the
Great Wall. They discussed for a while and concluded that that was enough adventure for a day. Therefore,
they went back to the hotel as soon as possible. And as Mike was about to sleep, Samuel called for him.
“
Dude! You’ve gotta see this!” exclaimed Samuel holding up The Great book ‘o’ Chinese History.
Mike glimpsed in for a closer look, it said: While constructing the Great Wall, the Chinese suffered
many times due to intruders. Two young, brave warriors named Liu Samuel and Chan Mike managed to push
them back to where they came from.
Mike couldn’t believe it! They went back in time and they actually became a part of history! Sadly, no
one would believe any of their shenanigans since nobody would trust two young kids yelling around saying that
they were a part of history.
