Archers were readied. Soldiers were eager to fight. Finally, there was a tall man who yelled “Attack!”
And the battle started.
Soldiers were fighting hard, with their sweat pouring down like rain, and blood started to leak out of their
wounds, forming a deep red river. After that, it was time for us to perform. We shot countless arrows with fire,
harming the enemies with terror, and with pain.
One step closer to success! I was so excited that I even started to look down on the enemies! Suddenly, I
was pushed, and lost my balance and hit the ground. I was about to curse that guy until I saw Liu. His body was
covered with blood, with an arrow pierced through his body.
I understood what had happened then. I was the one who should have been shot, not Liu. If I hadn’t been
that excited, I would have seen that arrow, and dodged it. Liu didn’t even need to push me aside, and he got
shot! Liu sacrificed himself to save my life, an idiot’s life! I kneeled beside Liu.
“
Why did you sacrifice yourself for me? I am not worthy for you to save me!” I said.
“
We are friends, aren’t we?” Liu said in a weak voice.
“
But……but……” I couldn’t go any further. I just wanted to sit in a corner and weep.
“
It’s alright, my friend,” he said, “if only you can……”
He stopped breathing. He left this miserable world. This tragic Great Wall.

No……!” I cried out as loud as I could……

What’s happened to you, getting more stupid and keep yelling when we came to the hospital?” a
familiar voice approached. It was Lau.

Lau! It’s you, Lau! I was so afraid that I couldn’t see you anymore!” I hugged him, to everyone’s
surprise.

Well, stop that since it is embarrassing?” Lau said, and everyone laughed.

Fine, fine. However, I will hug you whenever I need your care!” I said.
After a day of careful checking, I could finally left the hospital. Though we had only spent three hours on
the Great Wall this time, I was sure that I would go to this beautiful place again, because of the great memory
captured from here, and a memorable dream……
