About the book Modern Indian Cooking offers a fresh and innovative approach to Indian cooking, with an
emphasis on healthy eating. Recipes are easy to follow and each
is beautifully illustrated in full colour. This modern perspective
on Indian cooking includes healthy options low in carbohydrates
and high in fresh vegetables. The emphasis is on slow cooking and
grilling rather than deep frying.
The recipes in Modern Indian
Cooking reflect the East African influences
on author, Deepak Chauhan’s upbringing. While many dishes
are similar to his home in India, he also incorporates many tempting
ingredients including the fish and seafood of Mombassa.
