I peeked inside, and what appeared in front of my eyes was a sky ladder, leading up to a gorgeous
castle in the air, somewhere far away surrounding by beautiful white clouds at the top of the world. This sky
ladder was a shimmering glassy staircase seemed to be very fragile, with no handrails on either side. Taking a
deep breath, I gave my utmost courage to step onto this steep ladder. Up every step I climbed, I had a strong
feeling of getting closer to the danger, as if a battle to death was coming at once.
Approaching the castle, I discovered many pairs of dull and sad eyes hiding behind the entrance gate,
longing desperately for help. A fairy wearing a light blue dress with large violet eyes came forward and said in a
delightful voice, “Welcome, the Knight of Peace. We are worrying you may not come on time to our rescue.”
Meanwhile, many fairies revealed themselves from their hiding place, all wearing smiles and staring at me with
trust in their eyes, as if they were worshipping a god. However, I found that most of the fairies were seriously
injured in a battle with the monsters before.
I realized it’s time for me, the Knight of Peace, to come for an aid to the poor fairies. My hand reached
my backpack for the wooden box. I opened it and sprinkled some colourful powder onto their wounds. It was so
magical that their wounds were healed almost immediately. All the fairies stared in amazement and whispered
in unison, crying, “The rainbow healing powder…The Knight of Peace.” And then, all fairies kneeled before me,
tears trickling down their cheeks with joy.
Following the cues on the prophecy, I decided to use the crystal ball to track down the next places to go.
When I closed my eyes, touching the ball with both my hands, a map appeared instantly in my mind indicating
clearly the places of my thought. In the meantime, I found myself losing my balance, pulling by a swirling force
as strong as a tornado into the crystal ball, and finally landing onto “The Cliff of Death”. This place was a
deadly declined cliff leading into what seemed like a never-ending dark pit in the bottom. Thousands of
disastrous monsters were arming for battle there. On the far side of the pit was an enormous cave, there sat in
the shiny metallic throne a huge muscular demon with two horns, big laser red eyes and razor sharp teeth,
wearing a dark crown not suitable for the size of his head. It was of no doubt that he was the King of Monsters,
and this place was “The Demon’s Lair”.
I quickly picked the twines out of the bag, fastened one end around a big piece of steady rock, and then
threw the other end down the cliff. Incredibly, the twine automatically grew longer and longer, as if there were
no end. Finally, I heard a soft thump proving the twine reached the bottom. As I climbed down the cliff, I was a
little scared that the twine might snap in half. Fortunately, I reached the bottom safely.
I sneaked through the darkness as not to attract the attention of any monsters on the way. Finally, I
arrived at the mouth of the cave, hiding behind a nearby rock. Inside the cave, thousands of evil creatures were
kneeling before the King of Monsters, waiting for command. Soon, a threatening voice roared, “Destroy the
Fairyland as much as you can! Kill the fairies as more as you can. Now, go to war!” All the monsters then
echoed, “War, War, War! Lord Demonious.”
To stop this tragedy, I had no other alternatives, but to jump out in front of the King of Monsters. He
was completely shocked in horror by my sudden appearance. I stared at him, raged. My body reacted in an
automatic motion, fishing the diamond out of the backpack, and immediately flipping it up into the air.
Magically, the diamond turned into a shining multicolored sword like what I had watched in the animation.
With the Sword of Peace in hand, I shouted, “Demonious, dare you to have a fight that only one can stand at
last! If I win, all your comrades need to leave this world forever. If you win, you got what you want.” After a
few seconds, Demonious stood up in confidence and accepted my challenge. I found him a giant creature,
dressing in full armor, one hand holding a long black ax carved with different draconic patterns, and the other
grabbing a long thick chain with a big heavy spiky ball at one end.
At first, Demonious charged at me with his ax. In a flash, I pretended to head towards the entrance of
the cave, running away. He ran after me closely. We arrived at Battlefield after running a long distance, and I
found Demonious panting heavily with his face as pale as a white paper. I stood straight, holding my sword high
up in the air, and shouted, “Our final battle will start and end here. Let’s fight now!”
Demonious was still kept panting. I realized this was a golden chance for me to take the advantage to
charge at him with my sword ready to stab right at his heart. I couldn’t believe. I heard Demonious roaring with
excruciating pain and spotted green goo spilling from his wound. Not in a minute, he fell flat to the ground,
groaning to death. The body of Domonious was then disintegrated mysteriously, leaving clouds of grey haze,
which finally blurred my eyes. And my vision went black.
Dazedly, I heard fairies repeatedly casting spells on me, but I was too tired to open my eyes. When I
finally regained consciousness, I found myself lying on my own bed, holding a tiny crystal ball, but the cloud
shaped mark on it was disappeared and instead, there came a few words, “Thanks! The Knight of Peace”
