Derek and Nicole are going on a 5-day trip to Beijing. As Derek is an archaeologist, the aim of this trip is to
study the ancient heritages there. He is looking forward to this trip but not he is discontent with Nicole of not
supporting him.
By the time Derek and Nicole get to the Beijing International Airport, Nicole looks into her mirror, checks
and checks again. Suddenly, she screams.
“
WAIT! Don’t walk so fast! I need to add more rouge on the face!” cried Nicole. “Don’t just stand there like
a piece of wood! Help me to take the suitcase! I will be back after 10 minutes… no, 15 minutes. Wait for me!”
“
OH MY GOD! TROBLESOME!”
After the pair of lover checked in the hotel, they hurry to The Forbidden City

Under the red walls and yellow tiles, Derek and Nicole tour around the grand palace. They sightsee around
and get a deep understanding of this Imperial Palace.

Wow, what a magnificent sight! How spectacular the Forbidden City is!”

Hay… Darling, where shall we go for dinner tonight?”
Rolling his eyes, Derek stares at Nicole.
At this moment, his sharp-eyed girlfriend spots out something unusual on the Nine Dragons Screen in front
of the Palace of Tranquil Longevity. Something with bright yellow light, is shining brightly under the warm
sunlight. Nicole leaves Derek stealthily and creeps to that mysterious shining object. Half closing her eyes,
Nicole picks up that thing.
“
It’s just a brick; I thought it’s a piece of gold.” Nicole said disappointedly.
“
Why are you kneeing down? What are you doing?” Derek comes suddenly and asks. “What’s that?”
The ‘brick’ is in handful size and rectangular in shape, but it is not a usual brick. Instead it is a glazed brick
with a relief of a mighty dragon for decoration. Most importantly, the eyes of the dragon are bursting out a ray
of glare light.
“
This brick may bring you bad luck! Throw it away and go!” Nicole claimed.
However, Derek thinks the brick is special and may be valuable for investigation thus he wants to bring it
back to Hong Kong to make further analysis. He ignored Nicole’s oppose and put the mysterious brick in his
backpack secretly.
After the lovers finished their buffet dinner in the hotel, Nicole leans by the baluster in the balcony of the
hotel room.
“
The moon is so attractive tonight!” Nicole whispers
The moon is hanging like a hook, with some meteors fly across the starry night and stars are twinkling with
bright white light. All seem that something unpredicted and abnormal will happen soon.
“
Tell me. How many bricks are needed for building the Great Wall?” In an impolite manner, the supervisor
asks the haruspex.
I
