And so, Thomas went back to England the following day. When he reunited with Leonard, he was so
overjoyed that he cried. Thomas went on to study at Trinity College in Cambridge. He never married as he could
never find another woman like Li Qiang whom he had known for most of his teenage life and had always loved.
