Rocky Lee and the Battle of the Great Wall

ocky Lee opened his eyes and sprung up from his queen-sized bed. He was 35, American-Cantonese,
and a treasure hunter. (No, it’s not the archeology kind.) He knew many styles of Kung Fu, Karate and
specialized in swords. He stood on his bed, recalling the weird dream he had last night. It seemed
interesting: a man dressed in armor, thrashing his shiny, magical sword against a huge monster. The
beast had a huge oval face and a stinky “black hole” filled with needle-like teeth. It had fur all over its
body, like a fat Yeti. It had razor-sharp claws, but with pad-like paws as his feet. It just seemed so bizarre.
Rocky went down the stairs of his huge Villa for his breakfast and to see if he had any jobs
That night Rocky crumpled on his bed, trying to sleep. He blinked hard. And when his eye lids opened, he
was on the roof of a huge palace, which he immediately recognized with his geography knowledge: Qing Shi
Huang’s palace! As Rocky was digesting what had happened, the explanation blew into his head. He was the
one of the prophecy, and he was attempting to retrieve the Sword of Dragons in order to slay the evil Mongolian
Monster. The prophecy was; “The man that appears on the palace will save China and its emperor from the
claws of the Vicious Mongolian Yeti.” Rocky’s expression transformed from shock to caution. He slipped down
the roof into an unnoticeable corner. Patrols were all over the place, so he had to be very careful. As he
infiltrated through the courtyard, the number of guards became too great to sneak past. So, when nobody noticed,
he snatched an officer into a bush and…
An officer marched to the vault that was heavily guarded. The guards asked for the password. The officer
answered correctly and was allowed inside. Luckily, Rocky had been able to put on a show and had interrogated
a soldier for a password. The soldier must have been intimidated, because he blurted it out. Unfortunately,
Rocky didn’t put on the armor properly. While Rocky was marching, his armor slipped off.
Stupid, oversized, fat officer,” Rocky thought, as troops all glared at him. “Uh-Oh,” he muttered before
running as the soldiers started shouting and raced after him. He managed to take down a dozen or two of the
guards after zigzagging around the palace, but eventually got caught.
The guards dragged the miserable Rocky to the Emperor of China. The Emperor interrogated, “Why are you
attempting to steal my sword?”
Rocky replied, “Your Majesty, the evil Mongolian Yeti is charging for the Great Wall. He’ll come to
assassinate you. I am the one of the prophecy. Only I can protect you with this sword!”
The emperor suspected he was a Mongolian spy, so to make sure, looked at Rocky’s neck and wrist. His eyes
widened as he saw a tattoo-like symbol of a dragon around a monster’s face. That was the symbol the one of the
prophecy was supposed to have for proof. The emperor ordered his flustered men to stand down. Rocky stood
up. He told some men to get the Sword of Dragons, the finest armor, and the finest equipment. Rocky was later
armed with superior power. The emperor gave him 500 elite troops, and Rocky went on his way to the Great
Wall, on the best horse in the cavalry.
When Rocky arrived, broken bricks, debris, and wounded soldiers were already all over the place. On the
other side, he saw the monster on a rampage. He took out his bow & arrow, lit it up with a torch, and shot it at
the monster. Miraculously, it did succeed in hitting the monster and grabbing its attention. It turned its vicious
eyes and swiftly charged towards them. Rocky drew his sword and grabbed his shield. He commanded the arrow
squadron to fire, sending hails of arrows at the creature. It stumbled and fell but staggered up and started
blocking arrows. It seemed like it was going to squash them all, but Rocky swiped his sword with might. It
flashed at the contact of the Yeti, hurling it onto a guard station roof. It leaped back with unimaginable speed,
crashing into dozens of troops, but Rocky managed to jump and roll away to safety. He swung his sword onto
the Yeti’s back, and its “black hole” mouth howled in pain. It spat dark flames at him, and his shield seemed to
merely conduct the heat. Rocky slammed his shield on the monster’s head. Another attempt was made to
swallow Rocky, but the hero stuck the shield between the jaws of the obnoxious mouth of the creature.
What in the world does he eat for breakfast,” Rocky yelped in disgust.
As if “he” understood, the monster fought harder, scratching, pounding, and slamming Rocky a few times.
The brave warrior was skilled, but his was getting increasingly weak and exhausted. He was about to lose
conscience, and he was helpless since most of the soldiers were flat on the soil. The monster extended his claws
and prepared the final stroke, but the sword suddenly glistened, a force field pushed the monster back. Taking
this chance, Rocky used all his power and smashed his sword upon his head. A dragon-like wave of energy
erupted from the sword, clearly collided on the Yeti. The impact was so powerful that what was left of the Yeti
flew miles back to Mongolia! As Rocky crawled up, the survivors cheered in absolute triumph; the destined one
