have blood? He thought. Looking for answers, he looked around the room. And the answer was there right in
front of him. The bed three away from him had a splatter of blood covering the white of the sheets. He didn’t
even need to go to there to find out that the person was dead. But Long did go anyway. He peeled off the sheet
and looked at the person. It was Lam.
Breathing quickly, he saw the abrasions to Lams heart. It fit the height and strength of Xiao Ming. As if
it was for Long’s eyes only, he saw Xiao Ming’s right hand carrying a piece of paper. Long un-crumpled it and
realized there was a message. For him. It read, ‘Pitiful Long, you’re next.’ If there was a word that could
describe Long, it was pitiful. And he realized Xiao Ming would have called him that too! Knowing Xiao Ming’s
schedule, Long rushed towards the outpost to apprehend Xiao Ming! But when he reached there, Long was
treated for a very unpleasant surprise. Inside the hut, hanging as if it was like the stars in the sky, was Xiao
Ming.
Who else could it be? Long thought, when a sudden realization occurred. There was a reason he was
scruffy for the last few days. There was a reason all the people he hated was dead. There was a reason the two
people he thought were the killers were dead. There was a reason the death note was written exactly how Long
would write it.
He was the killer.
And then, Long jumped off the Great Wall, ending the madness once and for all.
