n 1596, at the Great Wall, there was a tribe called Jia. The tribe located in the mountainous area
in Luanping County, 125 km northeast of Beijing. It was near Jinshanling, a part of the Great
Wall.
Their leader was called Jiang. The residents elected him after he had led his soldiers to beat
the other tribe-Yuguan. Yuguan’s leader was called Zhang. He was so forceful. Although Yuguan
lost the battle, Zhang killed one-third of Jia’s soldier. After the battle, Jiang incarcerated Zhang
because Jiang was afraid that Zhang would try to kill Jiang’s residents again.
Five years later, it was the day when the residents needed to elect a new leader. Jiang joined this
election. He thought he must win the election because he had led people for a long time. Unfortunately,
a man called Wu beat him. His policies were better than Jiang’s. He considered with residents’ urgent
need. He went back home downcast in spirit.
When he backed home, his wife, Yu was cooking dinner.
“
Hi, my dearest, do you win in the election?” said Yu softly.
“
No, no. I’m sorry. I was lost by a man called Wu,” then Jiang showed a painting to Yu.
“
This guy looks very familiar. I thought I have seen him before,” said Yu.
“
Maybe you are making mistake on Wu for another one. I’m hungry. Can I have a dinner now?”
said Zhang. He seems to not be taking care of Yu’s speech.
Ten days after, Wu ordered police to release Zhang. Why? Wu was Zhang’s man. Residents were
ireful. They decided to overthrow the government. But they didn’t have the ability.
“
Our tribe will change name, from Jia to Yuguan, we will be the other Yuguan. I won’t be the
leader at all. Our new leader will be Zhang. The leader of Yuguan,” said Wu happily in the
announcement, with a disgusting smile. Jia was in total darkness.
Jiang was in the home with Yu. When they heard the announcement, they were shocked.
“
My dear, you didn’t make mistake on Wu for another one. He was TRULY one of the soldiers of
Zhang,” said Jiang with scary.
“
So what should we do?” said Yu anxiously.
“
We can only wait for timing,” said Jiang with helpless.
How about the situation of residents in Jia? They acted as the servant. They did cleaning, cooking
and transporting in Yuguan. They slept together, in some concentration camps. Since Jiang and Yu flee,
they can escape from the labour service.
One day…
“
I have an idea to rescue the residents. It is…” said Jiang secretly to Yu.
They heard where concentration camps were from residents in Yuguan. That night, they went into
the camps. Their appearance made Jia’s residents shouted “Hurray” and other words.
“
Jiang, why are you here?” as others were so happy, forgetting their unhappy sense, an old man
asked.
“
To rescue you,” said Jiang.
“
Hurray, this must be your wife?” said a rattled teenager.
“
Yes, she is Yu,” said Jiang
“
Hello, everybody,” said Yu.
“
I have an idea to rescue you all. Listen, I need you to…”said Jiang in a secret way.
“
Hi, Wu. I’ve heard that you have been a general. Let’s go to our camp to celebrate,” said Yu in
working hours. She pretended she was one of the labours.
“
Sure, why not?” blunt Wu didn’t thought it might be a trap. He promised Yu he would come to
their camp at night
It was the time when Wu should be in the camp. But they still can’t see Wu. At the time, Wu has
come; he has broken Jia residents’ anxiety. He came with only few soldiers. Residents poured Wu with
drink. Wu lost consciousness. Jiang killed Wu’s soldier first. Then, he splashed cold water to Wu. Wu
was awakened. He saw a few swords towards him.
“
It is you, Jiang. Why do you imprison me? AND, don’t be impolite to me. I will report to Zhang,”
said Wu. Then he tried to go away. Jiang’s man hindered him.
“
What a very easy question, WHERE DOES ZHANG HIDE OUR WEAPONS?” said Jiang
angrily.
“
