Ch.1 The Best Adventurer
ong, long ago, there were some treasures in the Ming Sang, which is one part of the Great Wall. Many
people tried to find them but these people disappeared after they went there. Some people gave up
trying to find the treasures because they thought the treasures were cursed by the ghost, but others
didn’t give up because they thought there were no ghosts in the world.
A man called Harry, one of the people who didn’t believe in ghosts, set up a team called “The
Best Adventurer” to find the treasures with the people who had the same idea as him.
At first, there were no participants because the people were afraid, but finally four brave people joined this
group. They were Mark, Alex, Ben and Kitty.
Mark and Alex were soldiers before. They wanted to get the treasures, so they left the army.
Ben and Kitty were adventurers, and they had visited hundreds of countries before.
Ch.2 We are ready
Two weeks later, they started discussing how to find the treasures
“
There are many soldiers defending Ming Sang,” said Ben with a serious face.
“
Why are there soldiers there?” Harry asked.
“
Because the king wants to find the treasures,” Mark answered.
“
Oh! So how can we find the treasures?” shouted Alex.
“
I think we can get in quietly,” suggested Harry.
“
That’s a good idea,” said Mark happily.
“
When should we go?” Kitty asked.
“
Let’s go on the first of December,” Alex suggested.
“
OK,” Kitty, Mark, Harry and Ben answered.
Time passed very quickly and the first of December soon came.
“
Are you ready?” asked Harry.
“
Yes!“ Kitty, Mark, Alex and Ben answered.
“
The Best Adventurer’s adventure starts!” shouted Harry.
They took with them the necessary things: food, swords and some mining tools because they needed to
walk for at least two months to go to Ming Sang.
Ch.3 Something is wrong
Two months later, they arrived at Ming Sang. There were many soldiers.
“
Um…..how can we get in?“ Alex asked.
“
There are some places unguarded by soldiers. We can go there and mine a small hole to go in,” Harry
suggested
“
I can see your point, but I think it is very dangerous ... If the soldiers see us, they will …. kill … us,”
Kitty said.
“
We are ‘The Best Adventurers’, so we don't need to be afraid of anything! “ Ben said.
“
OK, but we need to be careful, “answered Kitty.
“
Let’s go!” Ben, Kitty, Alex, Harry and Mark shouted.
First, they went to a place where there were no soldiers in front of the wall. Then Harry took out a mining
tool and dug a hole at once. After that they went into the wall. But something was wrong …
Ch.4 The truth
They saw lots of the soldiers in the wall, each of them with a raised sword.
“
Intruder,” one of the soldiers shouted loudly
The team left the wall quickly, but there were also lots of soldiers where they fled. They were surrounded.
“
Oh my God!” shouted Kitty, but no one could help.
Suddenly a man with long hair appeared. He had only one eye and one hand and was without ears. He
killed one soldier with a gold knife.
“
Oh, ghost! “ One of the soldiers shouted
And all of the soldiers left quickly.
Then the man walked towards them, as if he was going to kill them.
But the man walked very slowly, and Harry took out his sword and cut off the man’s hand.
“
