“
I am still hungry!” yelled Bolivaro. Pamrelo, his sister, replied: “What? After eating 2
wiches and 3 bags of pistachios?” Their dad broke up their argument: “Come on, you ocelots
ing everyday! The train is leaving in a minute!” “What train?” Pamrelo asked curiously. “The
ort Express, dummy!” replied her brother. As they got on, they saw a mysterious man was looking
at them.

At the train station, Mr. Ling and his two children, Tong and Li, were waiting for the Sofara family. They
got on the Grand Hyatt Limousine.
At the hotel, Mr. Ling showed them a map, which was about a lost treasure at the Great Wall. The
afternoon was decided to be spent at the Wall. Mr. Ling said: “We will take the cable car.” Everyone followed;
Pamrelo saw the man and said: “He looks unstable and dangerous!” But no one listened. Inside the cable car,
Pamrelo was turning pale and looked sick. Mr. Sofara handed her a bag. “Oh no!” said Mr. Ling “Are you
okay?” Pamrelo said strongly: “I’m fine!” They climbed up and saw the Wall. It was like a dragon crouching,
the day went on. When they walked near the sliding car entrance and saw a yellowed paper with strange writing
on it. Tong said: “That’s a clue; it says Mutainyu Deer Jade Tower!” “ Mutainyu?” Bolivaro asked curiously as
he peeked into the paper, “Is that a fortress?” Tong Laughed: “It is only another part; it was built in the Northern
Qin Dynasty and reconstructed in the Ming dynasty like Simatai!” Bolivaro nodded and asked: “Can we go
there now?” Mr. Sofara said: “Afraid not, it’s getting dark.” Mr. Ling told them: “We take a car there since the
last bus has left.” They looked right and a car was waiting. Bolivaro and Li saw the man. Li said: “That man
looks like a thief! Maybe he is after the treasures.” Tong laughed: “Don’t be a chicken!”
Pamrelo dreamed the man crackling: “It is MINE!.....” It echoed through her head until her dad’s voice
woke her up. The sun was already high in the sky. Bolivaro said: “Come on! It’s time for breakfast.” As they
went downstairs, The Ling family was already there. Pamrelo said: “I was curious about that man, he was in my
dream!” “Sounded like a thief stealing Jade!” said Tong.
At Mutainyu, they worked out the way there. Bolivaro said: “Last night, I looked at the map of Beijing.
Turns out there is a note.” “A note? What does it say?” Tong asked. Bolivaro replied: “Ummm, there are only 4
words, it says…” Tong interrupted: “I will be rich!!” “Jade!” yelled Li. Bolivaro showed them the note, Tong
looked and spoke softly: “Jiankou!” The man heard he crackled: “A helicopter to Jiankou!”
Bolivaro led them to the tower. Li whispered: “We need a helicopter!” a noise came out; it was a
helicopter that Mr. Ling ordered. They went onto it and the pilot said: “We had found the third stone.” He
opened a safe, inside was blue amber. Mr. Sofara said: “It says Lizard spit tower Simatai.” Tong turned pale, not
because the helicopter was up. He said: “Simatai is under renovations….” The pilot laughed and said: “Lizard
spit tower has been renovated.” The helicopter descended uncovering the CBD and landed on a helipad on top
of the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Bolivaro saw the man stomping on the phone.
Not long, the helicopter returned. Pamrelo looked over the view, she started to throw up, and she turned
pistachio green, soon when they were at the highest, mint green and when they arrived, olive green! She gave up
and said: “I think I might stay here with Dad.” Everybody looked at Mr. Sofara, he had also air-sick and taking
some medicine.
The man they saw on the train was there, holding up a pistol and yelled: “FREEZE!” Bolivaro jumped up
and punched him; the man fell off the Wall and landed on a soft bed of moss. Bolivaro found a piece of pink
tourmaline and whispered to his buddies: “It has a note saying Huanghua Moss garden tower and Gubeikou
Chicken’s ear tower, now where is Gubeikou?” Mr. Ling answered: “Gubeikou is too dangerous for us, I had
contacted somebody who works there and he will help us.” That night, Li and Bolivaro dreamed of the man
holding an opal laughing.
The next day, Mr. Sofara got a note and said: “I found this on the helicopter, it says Water pass. Let’s split
into two groups.” Mr. Sofara was with Pamrelo and Li, they ahead to Juyongguan, while the others went to
Huanghua.
Mr. Ling was with Bolivaro and Tong, the trio was making their way through the tourists. They were
marveling at the yellow flowers when Bolivaro found an opal which was stored in a hole. Later, Tong found an
emerald in a tiny chest.
Water pass was a quiet area; suddenly the man jumped up and hit Pamrelo’s face. Mr. Sofara punched him
back till he passed out. As they crept, Li found a ruby in his hand.
At Badaling, Mr. Sofara told Mr. Ling it said Hushan. Mr. Ling shouted: “We should go and pack, Hushan
is in Dandong!” Pamrelo shuddered as her cup of tea moved under the pressure. They boarded on a private jet to
zoom them all the way to Dandong.
