The Great Walls New Tale

lock by block, the Chinese historical wall was built. The lightning suddenly flashed through the sky.
Chinese people ran for shelter, to the nearest house-like stone structure. As they stood, shivering of
cold, they saw how much they did – the Great Wall of China was done.

Suddenly, the lightning zigzagged and hit the stone in the middle of the great wall. It left a
tning mark on the stone, not destroying the Great Wall. The people never knew what was going on
in the rock.

“
Ding, ding. Enemies are here!” the big warrior shouted. Archers shot their arrows. In the sound of “Ding”,
the arrows were deflected from the Great Wall back to the men who shot them. The mysterious Great Wall had
helped China secretly.
Centuries later… and yet no one knew about the lightning mark.
The bus door opened. Matthew hopped off the bus and skipped towards the Great Wall, he seemed to be
attracted to it. It always made him run to a place in the middle of the Great Wall, but nothing was discovered. It
was the same place this time. Matthew was a short boy, he used to get picked by bullies.
When he got to the middle of the Great Wall, he saw a stone, coming out of the Great Wall, finally
revealing itself. This stone was unlike others, it had a lightning bolt carved into it. Matthew took off his
headband (which had a lightning bolt on it) and placed it with the stone. The sky turned black, lightning flashed,
the powers in the stone was transferred to the headband.
The next day when Matthew was at school, no one dared to pick on him. Whenever the bullies tried to flip
him over, the lightning bolt reflected their actions made the bullies hit the floor. He was protected by the
mysterious lightning bolt – no one dared to tease or bully him anymore.
