Story of The Great Wall
Ambrose Lee, Group 2: Fiction, Peak School
t was a normal day of any holiday, Sally, Michael, and Stanley were visiting the Great Wall of China. The
friends were very silly and were playing on the wall. They were very happy until Sally yelled and fell down
the wall carelessly.
They looked for Sally.
“
Sally! Sally! Where are you?” Stanley knew that he was too far away to be heard.
A sheet of paper floated up to them. Stanley caught the piece of paper and read it.
These were the words on the sheet of paper:
I
Dear Stanley,
I am your friend Sally. I am stuck in the Forbidden City. Please save me! I hope you get the message.
Sally
“
What are we going to do Michael?” Stanley asked in shock. Crash! They had finally landed on the bottom
of the hole.
“
Sally? Are you there?” They had no answer but an echo.
“
Roar! I am going to capture you!” said a voice out of nowhere.
“
Sally?” Stanley and Michael shouted again.
“
There is no Sally! Don’t be silly!” Suddenly, a hand grabbed Stanley’s collar tightly.
“
Arch! Get off me at once!” demanded Stanley. Michael was soon caught too and the two friends were
dragged down to darkness. Soon they found themselves standing face to face to a Chinese emperor.
“
What are you doing in my palace?” The emperor demanded.
“
We mean you no harm, your majesty. We came here to rescue an innocent friend, called Sally. She fell
down here we were worried about her.”
“
Of course you mean me harm. You have entered the Forbidden City. No one can ever do that. We are
never going to let you and your friend go. “
“
Send them to jail .” The emperor called.
“
No!”, cried Stanley. Soon they were being dragged to jail in the underground mines. They also found Sally
there, who had her hands tied up. She was very glad that Stanley and Michael were here too.
“
Michael, Stanley!”
“
Be quiet Sally!” shouted a guard. Life in jail was torture.
They were locked up in a small room. Meals were small and mainly consisted of one piece dried turnip.
They could only go to the toilet once a day, and had to stand when sleeping. One day, at night, the guards had
forgotten to lock the gate properly. As soon as the friends discovered this, they rushed out of the room. The
corridors were very dark with many guards. They luckily dodged through the corridors avoiding the guards.
After minutes of rushing, they came to a dead end. The friends turned back and spotted a person armed with a
big gun. They realized it was a guard. Sally shook servants and workers were captured. All the people in jail
were released and the Emperor and the people working him were brought to jail. No one ever since was brought
to jail by the Emperor. The Great Wall became a safe place. violently filled with horror. They turned back to
the dead end to hide. But at that time, the guard saw Stanley, Sally and Michael and went chasing them. They
hoped that the dead end would turn to an exit. Surprisingly, like magic the wall turned to an exit. Guards chased
the three friends. When they were near the door the guards suddenly jerked back and collapsed in a pile.
Stanley, Michael and Sally took this advantage and ran away.
The friends went home and told the journalists about what had happened. News ran about this and soon
Stanley, Sally, Michael, journalists, lawyers and police went to the great wall to investigate this problem. The
Emperor and his guards,
