anymore. Between sobs, I acknowledged this fact and stayed with them till they turned to stone, before slowly
heading home with puffy, bloodshot eyes, already deeply missing my childhood friends.
Now, every time I see the Great Wall, I would remember my courageous friends who sacrificed their lives
for humankind, and know they are with me forever. Sometimes, just sometimes, when the sunlight is especially
dazzling, I would see my dragons’ scales and their golden collars, glittering and gleaming like badges of honor.
