caught his eye. He picked it up, and examined it by the faint illumination of his sword. Andrew let out
an audible gasp. Somewhere here, in the tunnels of the great wall, was the lost diadem of the princess
of China many many years ago. Andrew had heard his parents talk about it on countless occasions. It
had been lost when the princess died trying to save her country from the invading force that wanted to
rule the land. The king and queen had forbidden her to do so, but she was heedless of their warning.
Anyways, this crown had great value, and many people tried looking for this precious piece of
diamond. The red dragon, a group of thieves, had almost succeeded in retrieving it. Almost, but, they
failed in the end, just like everyone else.
Andrew set out for the diadem, following the map. On countless occasions, Andrew had
encountered more than one dragon. He used his clever mind that had been sharpened by video games,
and his quick reflexes, since he had ADHD. When Andrew was nearing the end of the maze-like cave,
he saw a small, illuminating light in the distance. It looked kind of like a flashlight. However, as
Andrew went closer, he discovered yet another dragon. It was red like blood, but something about this
one was different than all the other dragons. It seemed… harmless. Somehow, Andrew knew that this
one wasn’t here to fight him. He was here to help retrieve the diadem. The sound of more dragons was
nearing, and Andrew asked, “Will you be okay?” in Chinese, and the dragon replied, “Yes, go now.”
I know what you might be thinking: That Andrew wasn’t really a brave hero there, but honestly, he
didn’t stick around a lot especially when about 6 dragons were chasing him. Anyways, Andrew dashed
to the end, never feeling more alive. When he got there, he saw a small black case in the middle of a
room. Instantly, he charged for the lock, but his sword somehow stuck to the side of the wall, like a
magnet. Andrew thought it will fail you when you need it most. The sign on the well was warning him
about that! He saw a refection that was half-buried in the sand underneath him. He ran towards it, dug
it out, and examined it. “A key!” Andrew exclaimed. Without any second thoughts, Andrew opened
the box, but there was no diadem inside. There was just an old, yellow piece of paper. Andrew took it
out and read it. It read: You have accomplished much, but too late. We, the red dragon, have already
found this piece of treasure. We have hidden it where about no human can go. If you want to find it,
well…
COME GET IT
.
There was a whole new adventure waiting for Andrew, and he couldn’t wait…
