Who Shall Rule the Great Wall?

ong, long ago, in a faraway land, was an ancient city called Norm. At Norm, there was an
ancient ring, which belonged to the legendary dragon slayer, Jack Reacher. (He was better
known for Jack Positive.) The ring was passed for several generations of the Reacher family,
then was mysteriously lost. After a few thousand years, Norm was transformed into a place
called Ancient China. The king or the emperor of China was called Qin Shi Huang. One day,
Emperor Qin was patrolling his kingdom, when he noticed a rather odd tree. It was a tree,
which was growing stone bricks! The king was greatly surprised, and started to think about
how to use the tree. Then, he had a brilliant idea. He could use those bricks to build an enormous wall,
which would protect his people from his enemies. So, the wall was built, and the king named it the
Great Wall of China. But in Normish, the Great Wall of China means ‘The wall of the ring of Jack
Positive!’
L
So, the wall was built, and although the wall did a good job in protecting the kingdom, things did
not always go right as he planned. Emperor Qin died a few years after the Great Wall was built, and his
kingdom was demolished a few years after his death, too. The Great Wall was abandoned, for there was
dispute in China over who would homogenize China. As time passed the barbarians of the Northern
Lands (such as Russia) started to covet the Great Wall, and they started to fight over who will take the
Wall. The king of the Huns, (a tribe from the Northern Lands) declared that he should take over the
Great Wall, for his tribe was the greatest of all. “Just think how marvelous it would be to be in charge
of the Great Wall!” he thought. “I shall be the mightiest person of the world!” However, some people
did not agree with the King Hun, like the chief of the Kitans. “Why should we let the wimpy Huns have
the Great Wall? The Kitans are way better than them!” The king of the Mongolians also coveted the
Great Wall, and so did the chief of the Jurchens. Then, several years later, when the dispute over the
Great Wall was at breaking point, China was homogenized by the Han Empire. The Han Empire
proclaimed that they were the rightful ruler of China, and that the Great Wall belonged to China, so the
Wall should be theirs. The barbarians heard this, and this was too much for all of them. So, war started!.
Hundreds of people were killed and sacrificed during the war. The number of people increased to
thousands, ten thousands… On heaven, the rightful owner of the Great Wall gazed down at the Earth,
watching the people fighting and killing each other, for his wall. Jack Reacher kept gazing down at the
Earth, until he could bear the scene no longer. ‘What shall I do?’ he thought. ‘This is all my fault!
They’re fighting over my wall!” He wished he could stop them, but it was forbidden for a soul in
heaven to contact with a living soul. But Jack, determined to end the fight, went to God and told him
the whole situation, then asked the great person if he could help them. God said no. The next day, Jack
did the same thing. Again, the God said no. Days passed like this, weeks, months passed. The war was
getting brutal than ever, and Jack’s tone as he asked God became even more urgent. Finally, God lost
his patience. “Okay.” The great person said. “I shall give you permission to enter the living world for
one day. However, you aren’t allowed to descend directly into the mortal world. You must only send a
sign or a messenger,” God said. Jack thought about this, and then said, “Your Greatness, does that
mean I can reveal myself as a form or a message to the mortals?” God considered this. Then he said,
“
As long as you make yourself illegible. And if you do, the form should only last for, at the longest, 10
minutes.” “Thank you, Lord.” Jack answered.
The battle was raging. The Han Dynasty had joined the battle, and was now close to victory.
However, the Huns, Kitans, Mongolians, and the Jurchens resisted viciously, and all of them were tired
of the long battle. As the Han army advanced, the barbarian army prepared for a last battle, which
would take place right below the Great Wall itself. Then, the battle which would decide who shall rule
the greatest wall on Earth, started! Would it be the Chinese, or the Barbarians? (The barbarians had
united to hold back the Hans.) If you were at the battle, you would have said “Wow, how terrifying!”
because I can’t think of another world which would describe the battle best. It was simply and
absolutely terrifying, with thousands of people killing each other.
Then, a brilliant light shone upon the wall, a light which could have well made you blind. “You
foolish people!” a voice boomed. Someone was clearly inside the light, but the figure was illegible. The
voice went on, “You are all very selfish, declaring that you have the right to rule the Great Wall of
China. Do you even know who this wall really belongs to? Or who was the founder of this wall?” The
Barbarians and Hans wanted to answer the first question madly, but they thought it was unwise to tell
