This lesson:

This Reader introduces the Chinese way of giving an address, which in keeping with norms in the Chinese language is from the general to the par ticular – the exact opposite of English, which star ts at the par ticular and proceeds to the general. The English translation doesn’t show this, but the Reader offers teachers a good setting in which to introduce the idea.
